Magaluf or Santa Ponsa?

We are a group of 8 Scottish girls aged between 16 and 18 and are thinking between Magaluf and Santa Ponsa. We are looking for somewhere lively with a nice beach and lots of bars/clubs. We also want to do a bit of shopping and sightseeing in the day as well as a booze cruise and maybe a Waterpark. Ideally we would like somewhere that is also relatively quiet as we do want to chill out some nights too, what would you recommend?

They are splitting Magaluf into two areas quieter end is now Calvia about 600 yards from start of the main part Magaluf with all the bars /clubs .we always go to Sol Gaudalupe Hotel quite quite hotel only 200 yards from beach but close enough to main drag. As for shopping not really many good shops in this area Palma would be the place.waterpark close to Calvia but not sure when opens for season someone will be along soon with better advice .im off there in four weeks so just talking about it gets me excited lol also not sure when booze cruises start but sure they are by June

Molly - Santa Ponsa is great and under 10 euro by taxi to Magaluf. has its own mini scene with bars and a couple of clubs. Id definitely recommend it, but only if you are going late June-Early September -outwith it becomes a lot quitter.

Plenty to do within Magaluf and Santa Ponsa. You wont be stuck.

Hi Molly....

Well for me it has to be Palma Nova.....a lovely resort where you can retreat to recharge your batteries with stunning beaches and a location which allows you to come and go to the vibrant night life of Magaluf. ......which can be a short walk away or a couple of euros in a taxi....

If you girls want to go shppping then you can either jump on a bus to Palma which are very reliable and punctual and clean for next to nothing (3-4 €) or of course jump into a taxi ...

If you want to stay in a relatively quiet area of Magaluf then I would stay in the Calvia Resort end where arguably the Sol Guadalupe stands out from the rest......for the right reasons. ..

But from what you're asking for.......Palma Nova ticks all the boxes for you..
