The age old question:Is it cheaper to book package holidays?

Hi all we are traveling to the island for 4 nights, a pretty typical young gentlemens holiday, not too fussed on our accommodation, though a villa would be nice and they seem well priced too!

Does it work out cheaper to book a package holiday or to book flights and hotels separately?

Thanks all

Many villa owners will not accept single sex groups,

Families on a budget are the most likely to book "cheaper" packaged holidays, so you might wish to consider whether placing yourselves amongst a group of people who may not be particularly pleased about the presence of a gaggle of lads seeking "gentlemanly" entertainment will render the most desirable results.

The only way to answer this question is to look it up for yourself and check the results of similar options. Certainly the cheapest hotel package will be cheaper than an expensive villa.

I hav found that most travel agent do their best to match what you can find independently. This time we have gone with broadway travel who could get our package, flights , transfer and hotel substantially cheaper than what we found for ourselves. Thomas cook were about the same but last yr we went to Cyprus and the knocked off hundreds for a family of four. Just make a couple of calls and see how you go. Good luck.

For only 4 nights you would struggle get a package holiday in the summer season unless it was a package put together for you by a travel agent or airline. So you could do your own anyway. And villas normally have a minimum rental period of 7 nights.

Hi I have always found it cheaper to book flghts and accommodation and transfers myself than a package, although a package would give you more securty if something went bust
