Lol! The pools are all saltwater and unheated. The saltwater wasn't a problem but in January when the temperature was in the mid seventies (in old money) the pools were freezing. When you go you might appreciate a cool pool, but in January very few adults and around half a dozen kids had the pools mostly to themselves.

The whole pool area is very attractive. I am hearing that there has been a refurb so it could be even nicer. You might want to check if the apartments have been included in the refurb (see other Oasis Dunas thread) as in January the two rooms we had were frankly dire. A couple of photos here on my review:

There were kids activities on offer for much of the day run by Thomas Cook and although I didn't have need of them, they seemed to be on a fairly informal basis. They would make announcements on the tannoy around the pool whenever there was something new about to start.

After a few dire reviews, mine included, a few one-post wonders have given Oasis Dunas 5 star reviews.

What alerts me to the authenticity of one is where they write: " the rooms are really clean and the maids are always around with fresh towels and bedding. "

They only changed our towels a handful of times during our week, and not at all for the last three days, ew! Bedding was changed just once and was threadbare, thin and kept sliding off the bed which had no mattress protector. The towels had seen better days too and the walls were splattered with squashed dead mossies. The bathroom left a lot to be desired. I could go on, but photos speak louder than words:

I wonder if someone is trying to get the bad reviews off the first page? They are succeeding.
