Best value supermarket

We're returning to Corralejo at the end of the month.

I was just wondering where the best supermarket is, as last time we used the one near the complex and found it rather expensive.

Hopefully we will have a car if I can find a good company.

Have a look at cicar/payless for car hire they are both usually quite reasonable. If you plan to pick the car up at the airport why not head to lidl in rosario to stock up its quite easy to find and the prices are very good.

If you are driving to Corrie then Lidl is only a very short diversion - 1km each way maximum.

Come off the Rosario by-pass at the first slip road and turn right towards Rosario centre. Lidl is at the first roundabout - simply return to the by-pass after stocking up

Second vote for Lidl in Puerto del Rosario too. It just has been opened for a very short period and the prices are compareably very low. The second option are the Hiperdino's across the island, convient priced too. You might want to consider buying breaf from a local bakery instead, the price differs not that much. Great bakery in Corralejo for instance, at the roundabout across the street at Marismas. It's just on the other side of the street of Caspers Bar.

Enjoy your trip.

Just a warning if you are renting a car avoid Goldcar. They appear to be the cheapest but charge up front for a full tank of petrol 68 euro which must be returned empty. Also they are not based in the airport, they are 10 mins shuttle bus away...

The best value supermarket is deffo RITA II opposite the old CORRALEJO GARDEN HOTEL. In saying that all supermarkets have offers of one kind or another but as a whole RITA II.

Mr & Mrs T

You don't mention which complex you were staying at before?

In Corralejo itself, I agree with Dave (above poster) RITA on what we call the 'top road' is the best value, most of the locals shop here - its best for veg, meat & fish. If you follow the high street down to the bottom and find the Shell Petrol Station (the road bears to the left) ... keep walking up the hill until you can go no further, this is the top road, turn left and keep going until you find RITA on the left hand side.

We stayed at Oasis Royal used the supermarket over the road.

Unfortunately we didn't find the one at El Campinero until our last day!
