Travel from Barcelona Airport to Cypsela (Pals)

Can anyone advise the best way to get from Barcelona Airport to Cypsela (Pals). Last year did this trip by hired car but was wondring if it would be cheaper by train and then taxi. Can anyone advise the best route - alternatively I can hire a car and leave it back to Girona Airport? Thanks for your time and help.

Train to Flaca and taxi is one alternative, it is no problem to rent a car at Barcelona and return it to Girona. It is also great to have a car at Cypsela for days trips but there is so much to do on site there are days that it will never be driven

Thanks Gillian - how much do you think the train from Flaca to Cypsela would be?

Thanks Gillian - the last bit of your correspondence seems to have been cut off. Can you clarify?

Perhaps I can help...you can take the train from Barcelona to Flaca - cheap one hour trip, but the taxi from there to Cypsela will be expensive - at least 50 euros I suspect. I always recommend a car simply because there is so much to see in the area and other transport is hard to locate. I know that Cypsela is a fine site, but it some way from the beach and a long way from anywhere else.

There is a bus from the beach to Pals Old Town that has a stop outside the campsite but yes you'd be a lot better off with a car.

You'd have to check about leaving at Girona airport but don't see that it'd be a problem (you'd know before you book whether it's possible)
