TC to the Cayo's

Have been twice to the Sol and once to the Melia. We are hoping to go again next Feb - Mar to the Melia and always book direct with TC. I know that TC are the only airline to fly direct from the UK and we would have to use them, but does anyone on here know of other travel agents that can normally do a better deal ?.

Try Direct Holidays. Oowned by TC, but internet sales only so were cheaper. Then went into TC shop with figs n they matched it.

We did the same as michaelajh. Got the Direct holidays price on line and our local travel agent matched it. As well as being a little bit cheaper, Direct Holidays give you 20kgs of hold luggage against TC's 15kgs, so if they match the price, make sure they match the luggage allowance as well.

You could try sites like onthebeach.com but as you say, to fly direct into the Cayos, they would have to put you an the same TC plane, and I don't think they would match the deals with the hotels that TC get.

Always best to check the Thomas Cook site as well as Direct Holidays as the latter is not always cheaper than Thomas Cook.

If booking through on the beach, purple etc just watch their service charges. Some are ridiculous. Given Thomas cook track reord of pulling flights it might be safer to book a package, which you won't get with otb, and may not get with purple other online booking agents.

We've just booked our package with Purple. They were cheaper than TC and Direct Holidays.

Congratulations on booking. Good that you managed to get 20 kilos of luggage.

The Thomas Cook 'Style' holidays automatically offer 20 kg luggage allowance , although that info is not shown on the regular Thomas Cook site.

It appears that Melia Cayo Coco is a 'Style' holiday, so I assume that is how people get the 20kg (without paying extra of course.)
