Atmosphere Aguadilla?

My fiancee and I are planning our wedding on Puerto Rico for 2015. Our plan is to get a large house where we can stay with our friends and family for the week. We're trying to decide what part of the island we should stay on. We don't want to be around a lot of resorts/tourists but not be totally secluded either.

What is it like in Aguadilla? How about compared to Rincon?

Thanks for the help everyone!

Aguadilla is more of a residential area, it often has large waves. Rincon is a beach town with lots of surfers, bars, & restaurants.

Aguadilla is a seaside town that is economically depressed. It's not known for great beaches with the exception of Crash Boat beach which is always trashed and one has to be on guard for crime. Stick to Rincon as it is not as developed for tourism as you would think.

Check out Villa Montaña in Isabela. It is a nice resort, but since it is on the upscale side you will not feel touristy staying there. They have 1,2 &3 room villas with laundry and also hotel rooms. They can even make a nice night bonfire and roast a pig for your family.

Otherwise, sitck to Rincón. Aguadilla may not be the perfect location for what you are trying to accomplish.
