day trip to Culebra

We're taking a day trip from Vieques to Culebra in Feb. Would renting a scooter be the best way to get around for the day?

Thanks,

Ali

It's quite a fun way to explore! Culebra scooter has very affordable rates.

But, if you are only planning to see Playa Flamenco, you could forego that and arrange for a publico to take you there and pick you up later.

If you chose to rent the scooters, the good folks at Culebra scooter will meet you at the ferry dock and take you back to their location next to the Culebra airport to get the scooters.

But, given the ferry back to the main island leaves rather early, you may find you don't want to go through the trouble of renting/returning after a few hours of use.

If you spend the night, go for it! You can even make arrangements with Culebra Scooter to pick up your scooters at your guesthouse/hotel, which makes leaving on the early morning return ferry pretty easy!

We're flying in from Vieques for the day, so it sounds like Culebra scooter will work great. Hopefully they aren't all taken at this late date.

Thanks for your reply

Good afternoon Ali,

Culebra Scooter rental is located right at the airport. I would give them a call to reserve in advance as you are planning to come during high season. Their number is (787)210-7001.

Enjoy!
