The 101 things to Do guide sounds like just the thing for you to check out. Its available on line.

Napa/Sonoma magazine also has good suggestons. Its produced by winecountry.com so you may find it online as well...I pick it up and Barnes and Noble when planning our trips

So many things to see and do?

Horseback rides through the vineyards, balloon rides, hiking, biking, some very nice (but small) antique shops, some great art galleries-- these are all things your concierge or innkeeper (where you are staying) will be happy to help you with.

And the best part-- their services are FREE-- already included in the price of your stay!

Napa innkeepers/concierges are world famous for their friendliness and expertise-- they are an incredible resource for planning your trip.

Give them a call today-- or an email-- and let them know what you like. They'll be happy to give you suggestions -- and even make reservations for you. :)

Otherfootloose has some great suggestions-- but a local innkeeper/concierge will know about the latest hot spots, and will also be on top of any special events, concerts, festivals, and the like.

Cheers,

The museum in Yountville has a very interesting exibit right now featuring masks made by the troops coming home from Afghanistan and Iraq- they live at the Pathway House at the Veterans Home. Very moving, it only costs $5 to get in. Then there are art exibits in every town- we have some amazing artists :)

For metal work, it isn't started yet, but we do have a piece from the Twin Towers on display on Main Street. And then there is the art gallary of Gordon Huether on 1st - almost all metal sculptures.

And of course, kayaking, a riverboat cruise, hiking, biking, segwaying, shopping, balloon rides, mud baths, zip lines. There is plenty to occupy your time.

Supercilious-

According to the spring/summer Napa/Sonoma issue, Napa Valley Ziplines is scheduled to open this year...

" You will start by beig chauffered in a classic Pingauzer to the seven-line course, which includes a nearly 2000 foot line. A visit to the tasting rooms of two boutique tasting rooms will precede and follow the ride."

Contact info is: napavalleyziplines.com 707 9449947. The exact location isn't given in the article.

It's taking longer than expected to get the zip lines up and running.

We're keeping fingers crossed that this project does eventually get completed-- doing a zip line w/vineyard views would be *amazing*! :)

Mattrach,

if you are willing to venture to Sonoma county, you might enjoy Cornerstone- its pretty eclectic.

Also, Paradise Ridge winery has a very interesting sculpture garden at the main site outside of Santa Rosa.
