Christmastime in Napa Valley

We will be coming from SF, and will only spend a late afternoon there and visit maybe 2 wineries. Can you offer a scenic way to go? This will be the day after Christmas, so anywhere that decorates, and maybe see the lights on the drive back. If I can only hit two wineries, what ones are the most scenic, and not too expensive? Thanks...

The scenic route to Napa Valley from S.F. is via the Golden Gate Bridge. Suggest taking the 'Discovery Tour' at Mondavi, then tastings at 1-2 wineries in the Oakville & Yountville area. Although the wineries close before dark (typically 4pm, some later), you should plan to stick around in Yountville until at least 5pm to enjoy the town come alive with 100's of 1000's of twinkling white lights ... spectacular! Book an early dinner at one of Yountville's world class restaurants. On the way back to S.F., drive along the waterfront in the tiny hamlet of Sausalito (north of the bridge) to view all the sailboats, yachts and houseboats ablaze with Christmas lights. There is no better Christmas light show than San Francisco itself as seen from the north as you approach the Golden Gate Bridge after dark.
