Top 5 places to consider for 30th wedding anniversary

We are going to Napa to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. So far

we will be going to Redd...so many choices. We love California Cuisine,

Asian, Steak and Seafood...what would your top 5 be to consider.

We have already been to Brix for brunch, Bottega (disappointment)

and Cindy's Backstreet..(loved)...

In random order, my favorites for a special occasion:

The Restaurant at Meadowood

Auberge du Soleil

Bistro Don Giovanni

Farm

Goose & Gander

All are California cuisine; Napa Valley's not really known for Steak & Seafood or Asian.

I would add Terra in St. Helena to the excellent list Nanci gave above. It has Asian Influences and has a Michelin star.

For steak, there's Press, also in St. Helena. Press is for die-hard steak lovers who don't mind spending a lot for their beef. Here's a very interesting recent review of it:

Thanks for the infomation. We are going to Redd, Press and we need one more for dinner.

As for lunch, that's the next thing...we are going to Brix for their Sunday Brunch.

But for lunch....any other suggestions. I am going to look at the lunch menu

that Nancy suggested.

I would make my lunch plans based on where I was going to be in the Valley. Are you here for the wineries or just playing golf?

Napa to me not only has some great food but to me signifies a place where one can have a fab picnic . You can go to a few wineries and pick up supplies or visit a store nearby for some wine. Meat, cheese. Fruit, good bread and voila !!! Perfect for lunch (weather permitting) or it could be a packed lunch... So many options...

others to consider for dinner

is Celadon

or Morimoto

or Cole's Chop House (very good for steak)

all have very good excellent food - and yes, the restaurants in Napa are stellar.

Bon appetit and Happy Anniversary.

Weather-permitting, I would suggest lunch on the Bistro Terrace at Auberge du Soleil, with a spectacular down-valley view and conveniently located mid-valley surrounded by excellent wineries. Also for lunch, consider Rutherford Grill, also mid-valley and surrounded by excellent wineries.

They are on opposites sides of the valley and opposite ends of Rutherford Crossroad.

If you find yourself near St. Helena at lunchtime, Market (on Main Street) and Farmstead are both excellent options.
