If you are limber and don't mind balancing your food and drink on your lap and the mat next to you--do the mats. Personally, I've seen a lot of people who were kind of unhappy by the end of the event from the mats seating. It's nice, but not-if you know what I mean!

I agree, by nights end the people on the mats look pretty uncomfortable. The tables are raised up, and have a great view of everything!

Unless you're very young I wouldn't recommend the mats. No back support, of course. Also, you're below stage level looking up, which I, personally, don't like. There are tables, though; no lap-balancing act needed.

I agree......no mats for us! We got front row table seating which is a higher elevation above the mat seating. There's really no bad seating, but the chairs are more comfortable for a couple of hours of show watching.

If you are young and flexible with good knees and a good back, then you can try the mat seating...

Me? I enjoy being able to get up easily after the show and walking out of the luau without groaning.... ;-)

Recommend sitting at the tables, Pre tip your waiter to avoid the long lines for drinks, plus you will get better drinks and go hungry they have great food at this Luau.
