Beaches

Everyone talks about closets and chairs. Which condos have the best swimming and sun bathing beaches- we want to be at the ocean not just look at it.

Napili Bay is a great option. I sunbathed there last July nearly every day.

We want to have a beach outside the condo where we can lie in the sand and then go swimming. Ideally we would also like to be near somewhere that we can walk a short distance in order to get a drink or lunch if we decide not to eat in.

Check out The Honua Kai! Beautiful rooms, great beach and Duke's restaurant is right there food and drinks. :)

You really need to narrow it down a bit. There are condo's in west/north Maui where you can walk out of your condo and be on the sand and there are condo's in south Maui where you can do the same thing. Nightly budget would be a great help. What time of year are you coming? Snorkeling important? Will you have a car?

Almost anything on Napili Bay will let you walk out of your room and be just steps from the sand.

Westin Villas and Honua Kai are also great beachfront properties. Larger, more people, and set back a bit further, but newer construction.

We stayed at Outrigger Eldorado, which is located behind the Sheraton Black Rock. While the Eldorado is not on the beach, it's a short 5 minute walk across a golf course to it. They have a private beach house with chairs on a deck, towels, and showers, reserved just for hotel guests. You can walk to Whaler's village, and you've got all the restaurants. We did this eating at Hula Grill. I think this is the beach you may be looking for, because it won't be that crowded, and you've got a beach house.
