Cape Reinga is well worth a visit and the scenic flights are great.

See website below:

I could give you lots of other info about KeriKeri, depends what kind of things you want to know about (wineries, chocolate factory, restaurants, cafes, galleries, Stone store & mission house +++)

Let me know what other info you need and I'll come back to you.

Thanks for the website address - looks great but unsure if we need to book before leaving the uk - will be in Kerikeri 2nd week in Jan.

Already booked to stay at the Stonestore B&B - looks very good.

Thanks

Mid January is peak time for tourism, so may be worth booking in advance for the scenic flight.

In KeriKeri, don't miss:

MARSDEN ESTATE WINERY - beautiful winery with a lovely restaurant

STONE STORE & MISSION HOUSE

MAKANA CONFECTIONS (Chocolate Factory)

KERIKERI BAKEHOUSE - great place for lunch

You are probably staying in teh nicest location, Keriekri township itself is not the lovely little vilaage it used to be- but the Stone Store area is lovely, if you like wlaks there is a lovely day walk to Rainbow Falls, commencing from the Kerikeri/Stone Store area. Visit Rewas village for a true representation of what a Maori Village was like.
