What to and see?

What is there to do and see in the S. Boston area? I'm thinking about a few days - maybe going up to Petersburg or over to Lynchburg. I've stayed at Berry Hill- prob. will again...any advice? Thanks!

Hi Bud, I feel like I know you from reading so many of your posts on the NC forum...you've given me alot of good information (without knowing it). Wish I could return the favor but I'm not knowledgable of SB. I will suggest if you get to Lynchburg and have the time, drive a bit furthur west to Bedford and visit the D-Day Memorial and Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Pkwy, great hiking. Happy trails.

Thanks - we're looking at a loop...Danville to Lynchburg to Petersburg to South Boston....but...still up in the air. Thanks for the kind words. Best wishes

My husband grew up near S. Boston, and truthfully there is not a lot to see/do there. Downtown S. Boston has a few neat little shops and outside the town there is the South Boston Speedway, other than that not much.

Like the previous poster said I would stay closer to the Lynchburg area.
