Restaurants that are kid-friendly and have good food!

Next weekend we are traveling to Virgina Beach with 15+ girls (ages from 8 - 15) and 6 parent/chaperones for a major gymnastics meet. By the end of the day, they are all very hungry, so we are looking for somerecommendations for good places to go to dinner.

We need restaurants that would serve a variety of good food that would appeal to the kids and also have options that the parents/chaperones will appreciate as well; moderately priced; and able to deal with large groups.

I've read many of the reviews of the top-rated places on this site, however first-hand personal recommendations is always welcome.

Thanks for any advice.

Try Smokey Bones or Macaroni Grill at Town Center. There's also a California Pizza Kitchen. I'm not sure about the "group" accommodations, but in Feb it seems likely they could work with you. You might also consider Guadalajara (several locations).

Have a good meet and good trip.

Also try The Cheesecake Factory in Va. Beach at Towne Center. They have an EXCELLENT menu offering something that everyone would enjoy. They offer way more than just cheesecake. I think they should be able to accomodate a large group very easily.

This is not actually a recommendation but rather a 'non-recommendation.' Namely, Pocahontas Pancake House. The food is not hot and the signature pancakes are crumbly, messy and inedible. These are not the words of a 'disgruntled' customer. Merely the truth.
