Regarding hotels, with all the specials and online accessibility, it's not often, but still is sometimes, like the days when there were cut and dry actual dates for the many seasons and their prices.

In general "peakest" is likely third week in July. But that depends on where that falls. It can also be the second.

Highest rates in a wider span are July 4 weekend through first week of August.

Generally, Fridays and Saturdays are higher than weekdays. Holidays are higher than non-holidays.

Special events hike prices up too.

Note rates are not all the way down to low in Sept because VB has a good season of events and still some sun then too...but they are lower than the summer.

Second/third week of August college and foreign students head back, familiees start getting ready for back to school so it's a bit quieter then...but just a bit.

There are also some hotels with Value Days or some name for their handful of days a month with really good rates.

VB also offers Canada Days.

Then, of course, there are online specials as well.

For one example, following a couple of hotels, rates increase about 10% Mar 31 and continue with that to Memorial Day.

By Memorial Day is an increase of 60%;

June 9, another 26%;

June 16, another 10%;

July 14, another 5%

July 21, a decrease of that 5%;

than Labor Day, and increase of that 5%

then as much as 80% drop heading into October.
