how long for Williams burg/Jamestown?

Is one day each Williamsburg and Jamestown sound about right? How far is a good beach from there?

Are you talking about Colonial Williamsburg? Are you planning to get a pass so you can enter the various buildings or do you just plan to walk around and see the public areas? If you want to get a pass, you can see a lot in a day, but it would be preferable to allow yourselves 2 days if you can.

Are you planning to go to Historic Jamestowne (which is part of the National Parks Service) or are you planning to go to Jamestown Settlement (which is administered by the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation)? If you are planning to go to Historic Jamestowne, you should be able to see it all (museum, film, glassblowers, archeology pavilion, walking tour and driving tour) in half-a-day or less.

If you only have 2 days, perhaps you can visit CW for 1 1/2 days and Historic Jamestowne for 1/2 day.

Yes I was talking about CW. Is it worth it to getthe pass??? How much is it? One day is really all we have there. Can we do both Historic Jamestown and Jamestown settlement in one day? Which one has the ships? Does ether of those cost?

Thanks

Jamestown Settlement has the three ships. Whether or not to buy CW passes depends on how immersed you want to be in colonial history. Do you want to tour the Palace, the Capitol, the Wythe House, the Randolph House, and one of the taverns? Trade sites such as the bookbinder, the wig maker, and the milliner (just to name a few) are also very interesting. For these places, you do need a pass.

I forgot to say there is a fee for all the places you mentioned. Check the web for CW and the Jamestowns; you will see the costs for all these on their Internet sites.
