Busch Gardens crowds in Oct?

We are planning a 3day trip in Oct, specifically Oct 10-12, Columbus Day weekend. Wanting to visit BG on Sunday the 12th. Can anyone comment on how crowded the park runs during weekend-only hours for Oct? We have just one child, and he's 16 so we can skip BG if it means missing out on 1hr wait times for rides and elbow to elbow with crowds.

It may be crowded because of the holiday weekend and the yearly Howl O Scream-that brings in extra people. But-I would say from past visits that it is less crowded than during the summer months.

Weekends during Howl-O-Scream can be just as crowded as busy summer days. The difference is that in the summer the biggest crowds are during the day, tending to taper out in the evening. But during Howl-O-Scream, the extra Howl-O-Scream crowds will mostly be there in the evening because the creepy-crawly parts of the Howl-O-Scream activities usually start at 6:00. No matter what the season, Sundays do tend to be the least crowded days in general. But do expect more crowds to begin rolling in as 6:00 rolls around & those Howl-O-Scream activities begin.
