Timeshare Warning

We were placed in the Wyndham Kingsgate by Expedia. The property itself is nice, but beware that it is a time share property and you will be pressured to attend a presentation which is longer than they say and, should you show interest in their system, they are completely unable to handle a transaction. We worked with them for over four hours (one on one day and three, arriving at 7:30 a.m at their request, the next day). They were unable to produce any paperwork for us to consider after they accepted our offer, and after keeping us waiting for 1.5 hours. They demonstrated poor communication and insensitivity to our time constraints. Since we had a plane to catch at Dulles outside of Washington, D.C. that afternoon, we had to leave at 10:30 a.m. and they agreed to send us a contract to study which we have never received. That probably was fortunate, since their lack of organization and consideration for our time constraints strongly suggests that it would be difficult dealing with Wyndham regarding any future stays in their properties. The property itself was pleasant, but stay away from any part of the timeshare presentation.

As a Wyndham owner, I find the Williamsburg sales people absolutely brutal. Don't attend a presentation unless you are prepared.

I'm a Wyndham owner and decline. They left a message at our room which we deleted.
