CW - Governor's Palace?

Hello,

Can someone please clarify whether the Governor's Palace is included on the single day Colonial Williamsburg ticket? I seem to be finding conflicting information online.

Also, what other places that are included in that ticket would be must-sees? (It'll be myself, my bf and his mom - ages 34, 43 and 62.) We only have one day in CW (kind of a bonus added on to our Busch Gardens trip, checking it out a little bit before we head back to PA).

Thanks!

Yes, the Governors Palace is included in a one day CW ticket. There was a time when admission to the Palace was an additional fee, but that was done away with several years ago.

Depending on when you visit, you should be able to see several of the CW sites. Important ones are the Palace, the George Wythe house, any of the trade shops (shoemaker, blacksmith, cabinetmaker, wig shop, apothecary, jeweler, milliner) and the Capitol.

If time permits, Bassett Hall on Francis Street is an outstanding site -- it is an original 18th Century building that was lived in by John D. Rockefeller Jr. and Abby Aldrich Rockefeller during the early years of the restoration. Definitely worth seeing.

Enjoy your visit.

Two places you do not need a CW ticket for are The Wren Building at the College of William and Mary and Bruton Parrish Church. BixDoc gave you great advice. You should see those first.
