Busch Gardens in Rain?

We're planning to visit BG for the first time this Fri and Sat (March 28-29). Sadly the forecast is now calling for 80% chance of rain on Fri (temps in 70s, though); and Sat is 30% chance of rain. We're bringing our two young children. Our lodging can't be changed so we're locked into these dates. Should we forget BG for Friday, or just see if any shows are open? Does everything shut down when it's raining? Alternatively, any suggestions for other Wmbrg area activities on a rainy day? Thank you!

Most things at BG do not close for rain, but will close for severe weather (thunder, lightning). Indoor shows go on, however. And the closings are generally intermittent. In addition to indoor shows, there is also paint-on-pottery and candle dipping in a shop in New France.

You might consider visiting the Museum in Colonial Williamsburg. There is a Museums-only ticket: colonialwilliamsburg.com/plan/… and there are child-oriented displays and activities in the Museums.

Williamsburg also has movie theaters, bowling, shopping (Yankee Candle flagship store is amazing), etc., so if you decide not to go to BG, you can find other things to do.

Thank you very much! I also just learned of a Lego building studio for kids in Wmburg which we could add to the list of possibilities.

That's Beyond Bricks, it's in the New Town area, close to the Regal Cinema. There's quite a bit in the area - a Buffalo Wild Wings, Barnes & Noble, It'sugar (all kinds of candy), a cupcake shop, a Mexican/Tex/Mex restaurant (El Tapatio), a fro-yo place (Sweet Frogs), plus some more retail shops, restaurants, and the like. Lots to do!
