Very little about handicapped accessible

Hubby and I do not get around very well. He uses Oxygen and I use a rollator (Walker with wheels) when out and about. Steps are a problem. I haven't found any info about the accessibility about any of the many attractions around Williamsburg. I am wondering if I have already wasted my money on pre-purchased Historic Williamsburg tickets!

Suggestions anyone?

What sites have you purchased tickets for? This section on the Colonial Williamsburg website may be helpful: colonialwilliamsburg.com/plan/accessibility/

There are some accessibility ramps and lifts at some of the buildings in the Historic Area.

As Zoey said, Colonial Williamsburg goes to great lengths to make the historic area accessible to handicapped guests -- the website referenced above provides a good overview.

If your visit plans and tickets include Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Victory Center, both locations provide free motorized scooters for guests with mobility issues.

Thank you Zoey and BixDoc! That CW website is awsome! It answered most of my questions and it looks like we can still have a great time. We will definitely include the Jamestown Settlement!

We were there last week. The historic interpreters can come outside the shops/buildings to share information, but many of the historic buildings are not wheelchair accessible. Many historic buildings have stairs. I noticed several individuals in wheelchairs that had difficulty pushing them over outdoor surfaces also.
