Turtleback Mountain

We want to hike here on our trip next month. In looking at the map there are two entrances, north and south. I read that one person thought the south trail was more scenic. Just wondering what the difference is with each trail and where should we start for the better hike? Here's the map:

Most people to the routes from the South parking lot and that has more open sweeping views (not the Lost Oak trail though, that one is less steep incline but amid trees so shadier but much less vista viewing). The north parking lot always has less cars and the first part is along an old gravel road amid trees, so no views on that section, but you can get views if you do the short side trail to the valley view overlook or the much longer and newest Turtlehead trail that comes off the Waldron view side trail. That round-trip on the newest trail section leads to a very nice view but it takes up much of a day for most folks.

Thanks drifting. I think our choice will depend on how much time we have. If not much, we'll do the shorter loop from the south end. The new Turtlehead trail does look nice though. Found a good blog on this hike.
