Can someone recommend a bare boat chartering company.

Hey all,

Would like to take a boat out for a couple of day to explore Puget Sound. We are a bunch of qualified boaters.

Thanks!

Sailboat or power? How large? For overnighting?

Why Port Townsend? Easier access from Seattle is Anacortes which has several charter boat companies. It's also closer to the San Juan Islands.

Have you searched Seattle Boat Charters? Here is one: ledgermarinecharters.com/pages/bareboats.html

Unsure what you have in mind when you say Puget Sound. These waters, by whatever name and it's not just PS, extend south to north quite a distance. Do you have certain boating locations in mind?

I've used San Juan Sailing out of Bellingham. They have motorboats too.

If you are again looking for a bare boat charter company looking to explore North Puget Sound, I can give San Juan Sailing out of Bellingham an unqualified recommendation. They have a good number of sailing boats and a smaller number of power. Bellingham offers easy access to the San Juan Islands as well as to the Canadian Gulf Islands.

We have chartered (sail) with San Juan before. The boat was well equipped and in impeccable condition. Talking to a couple of other charterers on return, they all had the same experience.

San Juan’s personnel is great to work with. The departure and check-in routine is well organized and their safety and chart briefing is the best I have encountered on a number of charters in various places.
