Where is your hotel located in Renton?

King County Metro operates most of the buses in the county. You'll find their trip planner on the Metro home page (or use Google transit):

www.google.com/intl/en/landing/transit/#mdy

SoundTransit operates Link light rail between Seatac airport and downtown Seattle. SoundTransit also operates Sounder commuter trains between Seattle & Tacoma (and to points North of Seattle). It's not frequent enough to be convenient unless you're using it to get to work (early morning, late afternoon). http://www.soundtransit.org/

We live in Renton and never drive into the city if we can avoid it. We would use the link light rail if the Tukwila Park and Ride was not always filled up fairly early, so we have two bus options: Take the 106 from the downtown transit center; it takes about an hour. Or take the 101 from the Renton Park and Ride into town... a little faster than the 106 because it uses the freeway. Go to http://metro.kingcounty.gov/ for maps and timetables.

Thanks, bobmrg! We really appreciate your suggestions and are feeling a bit braver about taking one of the transit systems available, rather than driving downtown. Wish us luck!

Is it better to take the 114 to Renton Highlands to visit Greenwood Memorial Cemetery? Or will the 106 be ok? Maybe more of a walk?

Thanks so much for the info.
