Flying into SeaTac shipping car to port of tacoma?

Hi I am moving from Alaska. I need a hotel for one night I will be traveling with two cats and my 17 year old son. Should I stay closer to the port or the airport? Do any hotels offer a shuttle to the port? How to make this easy?

Thank you

while there are some hotels near the Port of Tacoma none of them are too 'nice'. Most are motels for truck drivers. If you want to search look for 'Fife' hotels. You'd have to ask them about a shuttle as this wouldn't be a 'normal' request like an airport shuttle etc but you'd be very close. You can take Shuttle Express right to the port of hotel if you want to go that route. Will you have a car with you?

Presumably you're heading to the TOTE terminal at the port. I'd stay close to the airport and probably look for a towncar service - probably something like $50 vs. $70 or more for a metered cab. For example, look at http://www.tacomataxicabs.com/

I will be picking up my car at the port of Tacoma then driving for 4 days to St. Louis . My flight gets in at 9pm so I need to make it easy to get to hotel that night and to port the next day.
