appreciate your help! coming April 28 to May 8 to Seattle

We are 4 adults that never saw that part of the country before. We can't do alot of walking so we are renting a car. Our thoughs were driving to Vancouver for a couple of days. We are looking more for the scenery than the attraction. Does anyone have any suggestions about driving routes to take? And would it be more scenic to see Portland vs Vancouver? Or could we do both in that amount of time? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks. Jane

you should post this in Seattle vs Seaview forum. Vancouver is a very walkable city and parking is expensive. They have stanley park that you could drive thru but its very urban in a nice kind of way. I think you'd be better to come to Seattle, take a ferry boat ride to Whidbey Island or other islands. That would be very scenic. You could do a day trip to Mt. Rainier or even Mt. St. Helen. You could visit the Olympic Peninsula. There are multiple routes you could take, just depends on what you want to see. There is a lot to do within a relative short distance from Seattle. Look at toursofseattle.com for a variety of tours that are offered. It gives you a good overview of what you could see either with a tour or driving yourself.
