Good eats

Will be staying in MW for a week. Where are the best places to eat for breakfast and dinner. We're from Milwaukee and used to really great food.

Breakfasts ..... Michael's (on 51), The Outdoorsman in Boulder Jct., the Northern, 4 miles out of Woodruff ... are our favorites. We seldom go elsewhere! It is kinda tough to mess up an “Up North” breakfast!

Dinner depends on what you like. We love the Bear (Winchester) and Smokey's (W at K). Absolutely the best overall food. Pine Baron is good also. Got to get a drink and burger at the Pea Patch though! These are certainly the best and most consistent restaurants in the area! Most everything else is comparable is quality and selection. Don’t get me wrong, they certainly are not bad!!!! and won’t generally cost you as much and aren’t as “formal” , if there is such a thing up here, as Smokey’s or Pine Baron. I forgot... best fried chicken is the Sunday Night special at Headwaters in Boulder!! Have a great visit!!

Little Bohemia on 51 is a good place for dinner, too.

Jackie the bartender at Little Bohemia is a local and full of stories. We had the best time and food there in October and don't miss the Dilinger exhibit............if you're old enough to remember who he is!
