Killing time in Milwaukee

I am in the area for two seperate conferences and have 3 days to kill in Milwaukee, Sept 24-26. I have opted to stay downtown at the Hyatt, and foregoe the rental car. Any great ideas on what there is to do that is good walking or public transportation, taxi distance this time of year?

People kill time in a lot of different ways around here. Will you have daytime free or are you looking for evening activities after your conference?

You could start looking for things by going to the events calendar here http://expressmilwaukee.com/events

Having no idea what you like makes it hard to recommend things, but here are some options:

Milwaukee Art Museum

Harley Davidson Museum

Historic Milwaukee walking fours

Miulwaukee Food Tours

taking a walk along the lakefront

Milwaukee Public Museum

strolling the Third Ward for some boutique shopping and the Public Market

Lakefront brewery tour

Miller Park tour

Theater at The Milwaukee Rep (3 stages), Next Act, Milwaukee Chamber Theater, Skylight, or Renaissance Theater works

We have great theater during the week, or of you look up The Pabst you might find a live music show that interests you at one of their venues. Also check out milwaukee365.com for info.
