Clarion Airport to Summerfest

We are planning an overnight at summerfest and the closest hotel was the Clarion Airport. Is anyone familiar with transportation options from the hotel to Summerfest grounds? Is there a shuttle or public transportation or taxis?

Taxis are always an option - it would cost ~$20 I'm guessing. There are special freeway flier buses that travel from designated park-n-ride lots around the area into Summerfest: ridemcts.com/Routes-Schedules/…. Your hotel is not really within safe walking distance to any of those shuttles, though. Your hotel is right along the #80 route, though, which would take you downtown, then you could walk to the Summerfest grounds from there (I'd get off the bus around St. Paul Ave, and just walk east to the fest.

You could check to see if your hotel will shuttle to either the College Park-Ride, or the Holt Park-Ride, from there you can catch the Summerfest shuttle for $6.50 cash roundtrip--no transfer/ticket needed on the return. A taxi to either of these lots would be cheap. But you might need to call a cab to get back to the hotel.. though this is big event in Milwaukee and taxis are known to hawk the lots looking for people that no doubt should not get in their cars.
