oldworldwisconsin.wisconsinhistory.org/ This is a great spot for living history on 800+acres. …wisconsinhistory.org/Visit/AdmissionsHours.…

Delafield aka "Lang" town is a great stop as well. This might even be a nice stopover point for you, close but not in Mukwonago.

Check out Milwaukee. Depending on your interest there's a lot to do in the area. One recommend is The Domes a unique feature to Milwaukee:

If you like Country magazine or any of its offshoots come visit Reiman Publications Visitors Center in Greendale:

If you head this way some other fun things www.kopps.com on 76th and Layton for great custard and burgers and Organ Piper Pizza for a unusual setting:

If you wanted to branch out further or do a day trip check out Madison, they have a lot to offer/consider as well.

nearby Elkhorn may be a good stop:

There's a Civil War Museum in Kenosha http://www.kenosha.org/civilwar/index.html

The Elegant Farmer is located in Mukwonago. It is an enclosed farm stand with wonderful herbs, produce, cheeses, meats and baked goods. A couple of years ago its apple pie backed in a paper bag was featured on one of the food network shows...can't recall the name. It is worth a trip there. AND, if you go to East Troy, which is one town over, there is an old-time trolley museum. You can actually park and take the trolley to the Elegant Farmer, shop and ride back to East Troy. A fun thing to do! You have a long ride to Rogers Park from Mukwonago. I have a daughter at Loyola U. and there is no quick way to get there.
