Jammin In the Park

Jammin in the Park takes place on July 18 in Delane Paek (sp?). We like one of the groups playing & plan to go. Do we just follow the lake front to get to this park? I would imagine we should pack mosquito spray. Do the lake breeze help with them? If anyone has been, it says there will be food trucks. Any idea what might be available (corn, brats, etc) & is it reasonable? Would bringing blankets to sit on be appropriate? Thanks for any suggestions. Julie

Never been to the event, but usually there is a large tent set up with the entertainment for events at Deland park. Depending on the event, some benches are set up, but mostly standing.

Sheboygan has some very good food trucks with reasonable prices. For more information about Sheboygan events and food trucks (under the eat tab), visit http://www.visitsheboygan.com

If you are still going to be in Sheboygan July 19 & 20, the art festival takes place at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. Beautiful art for sale and free concerts. jmkac.org/index.php/midsummerfestivalofthear…

You can't really just follow the lakefront, put it in your GPS or map it. I've never been to it, but Deland park IS right on the lake so who knows what the weather will be. Right now the lakeshore areas keep having cold and fog. There may or may not be a lake breeze to cool you off or keep away mosquito. Sheboygan's starting to get some very good food trucks, prices will be similar to anywhere else you go. Some have very good more upscale food, not just brats and burgers.

This was a very nice function which is an annual charity event. If you happen to be in town next year it is worth checking out. My grown sons were thrilled that Mason Crosby, Packer kicker, was there. Foto opportunities are great since the park is right on the lake. Heard that next year they are bringing back the pig roast which would be a great addition. There were two bands playing - we went specifically for Unity The Band and they were great. GPS got us to the park in about five minutes. Thanks for the suggestion.
