October 2011 Trip to the Dells

My husband and I will be traveling to the Dells the weekend of Oct 14/15 and wondered what will still be available to do outdoors? We have 8, 6 and 4 year old children. Thanks!

It will depend on the weather.

Outdoor waterparks all close Labor Day weekend.

Mini golf places and the ducks and boats will be open if the weather is decent, same with some go-karts.

I was there last year the Friday/Saturday of Columbus day weekend. Weather was awesome and crowds were low. We rode the ducks (and had a boat full) and walked around downtown. Besides the waterparks, everything else seemed to be open-the mini golfs, the go-carts, most of the stores, the deer park, the crazy bungee jumping, etc.

Consider a drive over to Baraboo as well. Circus World appears to be open then:

or it would be a wonderful time to visit beautiful Devils Lake State Park:

I think you'll have a great time-hopefully the weather will be cooperative and you should definitely benefit from low crowds.
