Best Lua on the Big Island? or near Kohala Coast

We are staying in the Puako area of the Big Island. Does anyone know where the best Lua would be and the best price for an adult and child?

Thank you

Best is Kona Village Resort. Others may be less expensive.

Not to be picky, but a "lua" is an outhouse. Not to be confused with "luau", which is something ENTIRELY different. Knowing the difference is crucial!

And I agree - Kona Village Resort has an outstanding luau. (The lua is OK too!).

We have done the Legends of the Pacific luau at the Hilton and they really put on a great show. I think the cost is about the same as the Kona Village resort. Here is the link: www.hiltonwaikoloavillage.com/dining/luau.cfm

We have been to t he Kona Village Luau twice (2005 & 2007) and we were 'rained in' both times. It isn't the same held indoors :0( You miss the fire show and the 'ambiance' is nil.

Sorry about the spelling...what would it cost for an adult to see the show?

Thank you

Kona Village Resort, do make reservations in advance, it is very popular.

Wednesday aha‘aina (lu‘au) called Hula Mana

Friday aha‘aina called Savai‘i.

Hula Mana primarily features the music, dance and chants of Hawaii, while Savai‘i features the music, dance, and chants of Polynesia.

What does it cost? Call 'em... 1-800 367-5290. It's about $100 for an adult, less for kids, free for really small kids.
