Chateau Relaxo - heard of it?

I'm looking at this house as a possible place to stay next May. We have five couples go together and are looking for something reasonably priced, but still big enough we can all kind of spread out. This looks like a good option.

Has anyone heard of it? Stayed there? Thanks for any info you might have!

I know! The name is terribly cheesy. It's a house my dad found and I promised I'd try and find out some info. It's not updated in decor, but doesn't look too bad. Anyways, it was worth a shot. lol

If in Italy it's casa di riposo.

In Swedish its hus av avkoppling.

The owner is Gary Keeth. I have known him for many years, through a Vacation Rental Owners and Travelers group on Yahoo. (As I "know" many here).

I've never seen his VR, but I would judge him a conscientious owner.

I remember seeing the vrbo listing probably two years ago and yes, thinking what a dumb name for a Kauai property, but don't let a dumb name put you off. It may end up being absolutely perfect.

Case in point: We stayed at Casa Tortuga (Spanish for Turtle House) on the Big Island, dumb name, incredible property....http://www.greatrentals.com/rental-property/p301862

I agree with the previous poster - don't allow the name to dissuade you. I wonder how many great things we have all given up because of a strange or unusual name? We so often judge things on the surface without any real facts. It's silly. I would do your research on the place...it may very well be the perfect place for you.

This name reminds me of where several friends have taken their vacations, since the recession negatively impacted their incomes:

Oh, I won't let the name decide for me (even if it's terrible). I just want some real reviews. They have reviews on their actual site - but I'm always a little nervous of those since they're put up by the owners. Not like here where anyone can comment anything they want...good or bad.

Thanks for the info, Hank. I'm glad someone kind of knows him.
