South Shore restaurants similar to the Hula Grill on Maui

We enjoyed the nightly entertainment - not a big production but pleasant music and hula dancers and wondered if there is anything similar to this in the South Shore area?

I love Hula Girl too but I can't think of any place that has dinner and entertainment like that on the South Shore. The St Regis has a show and dinner and you can enjoy the dancers/torchlighting ceremony at the Hyatt for free and then have dinner at Tidepools after.

There are a lot of things Maui has that Kauai doesn't. Some of us like it that way and others don't.

Keoki's Paradise is another TS owned restaurant, like Hula Grill, located in the Poipu Shopping Village. Before dinner, check out the free hula show every Monday and Tursday at 4:30 pm in the village, then walk over to the bar area or have a sunset dinner at Keoki's. They have live music from 7 to 9 PM nightly.

KEOKIS PARADISE paradise has live entertainment with a two or three piece group playing early for a couple of hours, but it is not a hula show, as mentioned the free hula show is out doors. We go to the sunset dinner about 5 pm, and the group is playing when we leave.

For a more quiet interlude, the CASA DI AMICI has a very talented piano player with pleasant eady going music druing dinner. A couple saturdays back, we sat out on the lanai, had a marvelous dinner and enjoyed the music as well. In fact, the piano player stopped by the tables, and dropped off a laminated paged booklet of his rather huge selections for the guests to request their favorite songs....came with a post it, that you write down your requests and take it up to him.

I know that the Casa Di Amici is not the maui hula girl, nor is Keokis, but they are very nice places for dinner, different styles, but it they are what we have on the south shore for entertainment.

There is also live music during dinner at GAYLORDS at Kilohana......dining is semi outdoors with the entertianers playing in the arboretum. Gaylords is a classy plantation house at Kilohana which is near KCC in Puhi.....( just bit west of Lihue ).

Denny, Just checked and the pianist and singer you mentioned is our friend. Ivo Monroe Miller, who also plays a couple of nights at the Lemongrass in Kapaa.

If the poster wants to come to the North Shore, Monday nights at the Tahiti Nui with Michael Keale and his wife is always wonderful entertainment. Especially love it when the waitresses or women in the audience get up and dance.

Another place on the north shore that has great entertainment is the Mediterranean Gourmet. I know it's kind of far from Poipu but we always make it a point to go there on every trip.
