Hana Accommodation

Can anyone recommend somewhere decent & cheap in Hana to stay for 1 night in August. Doing a 2 week trip of Hawaii and Hana is the only place that we are struggling to find somewhere to stay.

Okay, so this one is out there a ways....one trip, my girl friend and I, and another couple, wanted to spend a night in Hana (while still keeping our condo on the Westside). We ended up grabbing a cabin at Waianapapa State Park. It was a touch rustic, I think it even had bunk beds! But it was a fun diversion and for just one night, it worked out pretty well for us.

And we didn't have to rush back and forth from one end of the island to the other.

Just a thought....

Thanks for your message. Had a look but this wouldn't work for us as we are travelling from Australia and don't have the permit that they require and won't have any linen etc with us.

We stayed at Hana Kai the last two nights of our trip earlier this month. It was clean and right on the ocean, very pretty. Good luck!

We have stayed at the LANI MAKAALAE TOO on two previous trips to Hana (2008 and 2009) and have booked it again for the end of July. It's well located, clean, peaceful and reasonable.

Enjoy Hana-it is an experience all by itself. You won't be disappointed.

And this might be my first review but don't throw it out. We've all got to start somewhere.

Hana Kai 206 was a good choice. Stay more than one night - we stayed for three days and it was about right. The west side is fun, but the natural beauty of Hana is unbelievable.

Joe's Place is inexpensive ($50) if your just looking for a place to sleep...

It is really a hostel, but you have your own room to sleep in. Also, the reviews say that Ed the Manager is not a people person.
