renting snorkel equipment for the week

Which is better to rent snorkel equipment from for a week? Snorkel Bob's in Kihei, or Boss Frog's in Kihei?? Are they both good and realiable.? Thanks.

We've had great service from Snorkel Bob's. They're always a favourite on these forums. Remember that the 9.00/ week package is poor quality. Expect about 30.00/ week for good quality gear.

And on the other side, we have always used Boss Frog. Both, I believe, are good and reliable.

We didn't like boss frogs in kona ( the lady that worked there was very rude) we tried snorkel bobs in kihei (the girl there was much nicer). I vote for snorkel bobs

Love Maui Dive shop. It's where we went.

But, after renting an underwater camera at the Cannery Mall Boss Frog, well as they say, the rest is history. Being able to have it recharged and return it at the Honokowai BF - just won us over. The people working there are the best!

It's a good idea not to get the cheapest rental package. The slightly more expensive sets have a dry snorkel and a better mask which will make snorkeling far more enjoyable.

Just stop at Cosco and get all your beach stuff. At the end of our trip I usually trade my boggie board/ beach chairs for a some t-shirts at a rental shop/ t-shirt shop. We did keep our snorkel gear for our next trip.

We rented snorkel equipment from Maui Dive Shop in Kihei and it was fine. You can return it at any location. It costs us $25 a person for the week.
