Lanai Ferry

Just curious how far in advance (if at all) you recommend purchasing tickets for the Lahaina-Lanai Ferry? We will be 8 people traveling to the Lodge for a three night stay, not sure if the Ferry is ever full? Travel Date of Saturday, June 5th.

Thanks

Since you have a specific set day you will need to go, rather than just planning a spontaneous daytrip to Lana'i, you might at well book in advance. You certainly do not need to book 3 months in advance, but a few weeks would make sense.

It may be easier to get seats during the middle of the day as most people travel early and come back late when they do day trips (or at least I do!).

Expeditions highly encourages (& appreciates) reservations in advance. You can call to make your res & buy tickets when you get on board (before departure). We've done that many times. Crowds depend on day of week, time, holiday, back-to-school shopping, etc. It just varies, but definitely would book a spot when your dates are firm.
