Which has the better weather - or is there really a difference at all?

looking between Kihei , And kaanapali... ---yes! i know they are close...but have heard stories :)

Looking for couples with 6 teens ( 13. 15, 17,17,17,17)

Can't be too quiet...just enough to keep them busy without the dreaded "I'm bored"

Suggestions - and also for accommodations?

Considering :

the Westin Maui Resort & Spa OR The Kaanaplali Beach CLub

Thanks !

Do you mean the Marriott Beach Club? Yes -- that would be much better than the Westin. Those are condos. MUCH more space.

Difference in weather is neglible - if any.

So Sorry>>>>>>>.looked at the .web..there are sooo many Marriott beach clubs???

looking to stay in kihei.. would love a condo of sort that has a kitchen (they eat us out of house and home you know, just trying to balance the tip out) there are 5 of us is each party so a 2 bedroom 2 bath is ideal.

Would like :

Lush grounds,

various pools - attached is ok - just don't want one lonely pool... with everyone crammed in :(

go to this link & you can view aerial views of the resorts & condos and a brief description of each property. Caution: prices shown are 'rack rates', you can normally get at a better price than shown.

good way for you to view properties & narrow down your search a little.

Aloha,

Kaanapali Beach Club is the old Embassy Suites. It's in Honokawai, not Kaanapali, and doesn't have a good beach. It also does not have full kitchens.

The Westin Resort would be horribly expensive-that's the hotel, not the condos.

On the West side, look at Maui Kaanapali Villas, maybe Maui Kai, the Mahana, Papakea, Kaanapli Shores. Of these, only the Villas will have a really good beach right in front of it. If you can handle the costs, also look at the Westin Villas and Honua Kai.

Weather? Who knows...........but this March, the West side had way less rain than the South. Next year? Again, who knows!!! March can be great anywhere on Maui, or not.........
