Wedding night Hotel recommendation...

We will be coming to Maui next month for our wedding and we are trying to locate a good place to stay for one night, the evening of our wedding. We have a hotel booked already, but it is with family and wanted something for just us. We are staying in Lahaina... any good places you can recommend for one evening? Price is not too much of an issue, just nothing overboard (max of $500/per night).

Thanks!

What hotel are you trying to get away from?

We are staying at the Westin In Ka'anapali. I found Ho'oilio House, but it does not appear that there are any rooms available there, plus they have a 3 night minimum. We are not trying to get away from Westin; just not have our family so close necessarily.

The Grand Wailea is beautiful! It would be a very nice place for a wedding night. Congratulations and enjoy your time in Maui! :)

I've read GW is the "Disney" of Maui. I'd definitely stay there and make use of the pools the next day.

Cheapest I saw was booking direct with them.

The Ritz would fit the bill-it is consistently rated the top resort in Maui.

I agree with Alumnus! It's about 25 minutes from the Westin.

Also understand that the Westin is in the Ka'anapali resort area ... not in the town of Lahaina.

Ritz in Kapalua. Four Seasons, Fairmont or Marriott in Wailea. Makena Beach Resort? Hotel Wailea?

If you want to be away from family, yet close, go to the Ritz. If you really want to GET AWAY, try driving down to south Maui, about a 40 min. drive and stay at the Four Seasons.

A place close to your wedding party, but a chance to "get away" for the night might be the Sheraton. It's just down the beach at Black Rock. The ground are very nice and a smaller feel than the Westin. For your price range you could get oceanfront.

To really "get away" for the night I too say the Ritz. It's lovely!
