Lanakai in September how windy is it???

I'd really appreciate knowing how strong the wind is here in September. Is it just an afternoon breeze, does it blow all day long and make the beach unpleasant. There seem to be so many differing opinions if somebody knows a good weather site with info of previous years that would be great to see.

The trade winds blow their strongest during the summer months. Usually around 15-20 mph. They generally come up in the late morning/early afternoon hours and die down by sunset. In September the weather will be starting to change. You might find days when the wind blows and then the next couple of days, nothing. When the trades don't blow, it's hot and muggy.

For anything weather related in Hawaii, I use this web-site. www.hawaiiweathertoday.com
