Family Reunion

We're looking at having a family reunion in the Bar Harbor area next summer. There will be about 30 (!) of us, and we're having a hard time finding lodging for all of us...are there any lodges/cabins/inns that you can recommend for this purpose? Preferably waterside (lake or ocean), but I'm throwing the proverbial net out there for anything.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know of any lodges that could accommodate your needs. You might check

http://acadiamagic.com

and look at what cabin rentals or vacation rentals might provide. There are some, Bar Harbor Cottages and Suites, for example, that might serve your needs.

Try www.knowles.com it's a real estate company thay also specializes in vacation rentals in Bar Harbor and surrounding towns and villages. What price point are you looking for? Even if you have to split up into 2 or 3 groups everything is fairly close together. Do as CW suggested, this is a great site and I think you can order the Bar Harbor Guide from this site.

Some of the "cottages" in the area are fairly big, but I'm guess it would require renting for an entire week, usually Saturday to Saturday. Some of the bigger ones that come to mind are in Castine, Sullivan.

You could go to Cyberrentals, click on Maine, then "show all" under the Bar harbor region and finally, sort by "Bedrooms: most to least." There is one property that sleeps 22, at least a dozen that sleep over ten. Maybe you could find two big properties that are near each other?

I like the search interface at realtor L S Robinson as you can search by all sorts of factors (location, time, prices) and the results come back ranked by the number of bedrooms.

You might try Edgewater or Eden Village, they each have a combination of cottages and motel rooms that may fit you needs. I'm sure everybody does not want to sleep in the same house together.
