Quick lunch

Well plans have changed already. Originally we were going to Thurstons for lunch after Thursdays noon flight into Bangor. However, after checking the tide charts it looks like Thursday would be a great day to walk to Bar Island around 2:00. We want to stop at LL Bean on our way over which won't give us much time for lunch if we want to hike over to Bar Island.

Any suggestions on where to get a quick bit to eat on our way over to the island? or something in Bar Harbor to grab and eat as we hike over would be appreciated.

As always thanks for all the help.

My two favorite lunch places are Side Street Cafe on Rodick Street or Thirsty Whale on Cottage. They are both sit down restaurants. For a bite to go, consider The Downeast Deli just up from the intersection of Cottage and Main.

Another possibility is to stop at the Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound just before crossing the bridge onto Mount Desert Island. It's been a few years... no lobster roll but their lobster sandwich was excellent.

Thanks, but it looks like we'll be skipping lunch. 2 hour flight delay, bummer. But the deli looks like a definite lunch one day and actually planning The Thirsty Whale for diner.

thanks again.
