Ghirardelli Square - Condo?

Are you all in the San Francisco area aware of how this plan:

will change Ghirardelli Square? Are all the stores being replaced to make a time share??

I'd read a little bit about it a month or so ago in the SF Chronicle. I didn't have the impression that all the stores would be going, but I also don't have any idea what the mix will be.

I work across the street from G. Sq. And have seen them working on them.

From the outside they are keeping the brick intact, not adding to the height or altering the storefronts or courtyard. So I won't affect the businesses asthetically. (I think they'll get a boost in foot traffic, and may be replaced by higher end stores/restaurants however). Most of the stores have relocated or closed, except the namesake ice creamery.

The insides were totally gutted and are being refurbished with all the acoutrements a fairmont timeshare/fractional ownership property would have. I'm sure they'll be nice... and expensive. But if you want to live part of the year in prime real estate in an historical building, and you have the means, I think it'd be very nice!
