At the Vitale - you are going to be just a block or so away from the Bay Bridge - it would be hard to miss. Grab a meal at the nearby Chaya Brasserie and check out the bridge lit up at night (if you can swing a window seat).

Others will no doubt have great recommendations for the Golden Gate. For a meal - you can't beat the view of the Golden Gate Bridge from Greens (though it is vegetarian fare - but a San Francisco standard)

Just looked at a map to see were your hotel is, can't you just look out the window and see the bay bridge?

Venture up to Twin Peaks to get expansive views of the city.

For a great view of the GG Bridge, cross over the bridge to the north side and go up the road on the western side (also known as the Marin Headlands) If there is no fog, you will get great views of the bridge with Alcatraz and the city skyline in the background.

To get a view of the Golden Gate Bridge with the City in the background go to the Marin Headlands at the northwest end of the GG bridge.

Golden Gate Bridge from the ocean - From the road that runs southwest away from the Toll Plaza, known as Lincoln Blvd. (Muni 29)

GGB from the ocean with the City in the background - From the road to Marin Headlands, known as Conzelman Road, as described above. (Muni 76)

GGB with the City to the left - From the Vista Point, which is located on the north side of the bridge. (Muni 76; Golden Gate Transit 2, 10, 60)

Bay Bridge with the City in the background - From Treasure Island, which is midway between SF and Oakland. (Muni 108)

All of these points can be reached by car or bus. Note that the bus service to Marin Headlands, however, operates Sundays only.

If you venture slightly further away, you can see amazing views of the Bay Bridge from the Emeryville Marina and both the Golden Gate Bridge and Bay Bridge from the Berkeley Marina.

The Emeryville Marina can be reached on Emeryville Go Round's Watergate Express (from MacArthur BART), and Berkeley Marina can be reached on AC Transit Roue 9 (from Downtown Berkeley BART).
