Breakfast spots in Embarcadero area

Staying at Hyatt Regency 10/10-10/17 and need advice on good breakfast spots close to hotel, both full-blown meals and maybe a bagel/pastry place. Thanks!

There is a Noah's Bagels at 50 Drumm St., just across from the Regency. A Starbucks is in the same block. There is also a Coffee Roastery (or similar named outlet) on the ground floor of 4 Embarcadero just across the small plaza from the carriage entrance. Many other options throughout Embarcadero Center which serve the offices in the area.

You can also head across The Embarcadero to the Ferry Building for finer options. Perry's on the Embarcadero is also open for breakfast. http://www.perryssf.com/menu_embarcadero.htm

Red's Java House at Bryant and Embarcadero, think it opens at 7am, very blue collar, no wait staff, open on weekends at 9am. Sweet Joanna's at 101 Howard at Spear at street level of the brick building. Opens by 6:30ish till 4pm, not open weekends, check the Yelp website, I did not know it had so many reviews. I found this place in 1994.

main list of stuff you'll find in the Embarcadero area:

http://www.embarcaderoshop.com/eat.html including Boudiin Bakery & Cafe in the same food court area you'll find adjacent to Hyatt Regency (it's on the eastern side facing the water).

Couple of other places:

Massimo on Market, between Drumm and Embarcadeo (next to Noahs)

They have pastries, juices, breakfast sandwiches, scrambled eggs, and omelettes, in an informal atmosphere.

Bistro Burger, 21 Drumm, next to Starbucks

A great new place at Pier 3, Plant Cafe,

http://www.theplantcafe.com/ offers mostly organic food--juice, smoothies, and baked goods--from 7:30AM. Also, my favorite breakfast in the city is at Mama's on Washington Square.

Opens at 8AM, closed Mondays, expect a line. Worth the walk (through North Beach) and the wait.
