Fisherman's Wharf - Holiday Inn Express or Sheraton

Which hotel would you choose if travelling with kids of 6 & 9 in Dec 2009?

Holiday Inn Express comes with breakfast while Sheraton doesn't. I have read about positive & negative comments on both hotels but I still cannot make up my mind.

For our entire stay, if we choose Sheraton's, we would save USD$207 as compared to staying at Holiday Inn Express. My husband's preference is to choose a hotel with breakfast. I am not fixed on this. Would appreciate any sharing. Thank you.

I would say it depends on how long you will be staying. Do the cost of four breakfasts a day and see how you come out. I don't know how much your kids eat, but adult breakfasts, with coffee, often come to around $10 or more in the city.

We often stay at Holiday Inn Express properties for Priority award points and to save time finding a breakfast place. Breakfasts are cooked and typically include eggs (usually scrambled) toast. bacon, rolls, bagels, fruit, juice, sometimes pancakes, Not just a 'continental'. Of course it might not be as hot as you would like or as good quality .

I would go for the HI Express, its a modern hotel and good location.

If you eat breakfast at nearby cafes, the price would mount up for a family of four.
