Casual restaurant suggestions

My family and I are staying at the Cornell on Bush St. and I was wondering if anyone could give us any suggestions on good, but casual, restaurants in the area. My husband wears suits all week and his idea of the perfect vacation is wearing jeans, t-shirts and tennis shoes(he will refuse to pack anything else) all week, so I am looking for restaurants where we won't have to dress up.

Except for a few very upscale restaurants, jeans are fine in most places. At night, a collared shirt might be better than T. And of course, a jacket or sweather is necessary at night (yes, even in summer ... actually more so in summer).

I often recommend checking out Belden Alley (http://www.belden-place.com/) The entire alley is lined with restaurants with outdoor seating available. Lots of choice.

And there are tons of places in Chinatown, all very casual.

Hard to recommend just one casual place, SF is like NYC, there is a casual place every 30 feet. Figure out what kind of food you'd like and go from there.

If you are adventuresome people can recommend Vietnamese, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, Afghan, you name it.

www.yelp.com can be a big help.

Tommy's Joynt is about as casual a restaurant as I've ever been too. It is a lot of fun, but very loud sometimes.
